THE BRITISH EMPIRE NECKLACE
The centrepiece shows the likeness of Britannia encircled in gold on enamel by the motto of the Order of the British Empire, "For God and the Empire".
From the original design by Miss Elinor Halle in 1916, in advance of the official institution of the Order by King George V.
The whole is in 18-carat gold on solid silver.
Size: 44mm (1 3/4ins) length, 35mm (1 3/8ins) width.
Chain: 460mm (18ins) length.
Reverse: The Official Assay Office Hallmark.
A signed and numbered certificate accompanies each necklace.
